With our detailed review of your project ahead of the first day of demo, your Buildworks Group project team will be ready with their marching orders and will work together like a well-oiled machine. We keep the team up to date on the current status of your project so you can be kept in the loop of any changes or necessary decisions to be made. This means that project coordination will be as seamless as possible and most importantly, adjustments can be made to keep the project moving forward. Training and Licensing

Buildworks Group is licensed, bonded and insured by the State of Oregon and is continually researching new methods of construction and sorting out the gimmicks from the gems. We believe in bringing in great people who are interested in the craft of building and teaching them how to work with the precision we expect.

Construction Management

We pride ourselves on service at Buildworks Group. From the smallest repair to the largest additions, we want to make sure you feel like you have our undivided attention. Construction management can become a full time job, so we handle it for you. From weekly meetings, to online access for your entire project, we communicate with all the members of the team in order to keep your job moving efficiently. Our goal is to minimize surprises and to be ahead of the game; so you have the time you need to research your options and make the thoughtful decisions that are critical to a well-planned project.

What Does It All Cost?

This is a question that we receive regularly and yet it is probably the most difficult to answer. Buildworks Group has worked hard to provide multiple structures depending on the project so that we can provide you with a pricing option that will work best for you.

The Bid Process

We pride ourselves on providing accurate bids to our clients and to have minimal change orders during the process. To accomplish this we meet with you to determine both your short and long term goals and to get a sense of your personal design style. The better we understand your project goals in the beginning the more accurate we can be in providing you with a detailed bid. Setting realistic expectations with you and the Buildworks Group team, minimizes “surprises” that are often part of any project.

Cost Plus

There are times when the driving factor behind a project is simply the timeframe that the work needs to be completed in. For these types of projects we provide the option of “Cost Plus” where the client signs off and agrees to pay for all of the costs incurred to complete the project, plus an industry standard markup. If the client is already set on the fixtures they want to use or reuse, then this can be a viable option. While not the norm, a Cost Plus structure can be an effective solution for select situations.

Handyman / Repair

Many times it can be difficult to bid a job accurately especially in the case of repair work. Until we begin work and see how extensive the project is, it is impossible to estimate the length of time or the amount of materials it will take to complete it. In these cases we operate under our handyman pricing structure of time and materials where you simply pay for the hours that are worked and the cost of the materials that are used. These jobs typically have to do with maintenance issues around your home and need to be done to simply keep your home looking its best.
